How many you need.
For a pool: two.
On different sides of the water, so both see the whole pool.
For your property: one per way in.
The front door, the driveway, side gates and any back-yard access.

The hub doesn’t take other cameras, including other Reolink models.
Left as they come.
Don’t set them up in the Reolink app. A camera that was set up before needs a factory reset.
Wired, not Wi-Fi.
Each camera runs on one Ethernet cable to a PoE switch.
