Included with the first systems, or use supported ones you already have. Kourai sets them up itself.
Supported camerasA hub and an app that turn supported outdoor cameras into a live 3D model of your property. It does two jobs on that one model: a lifeguard that monitors the pool, and a security guard that monitors the property.
No. They are two jobs the same product does. At purchase they become configurations: a Lifeguard setup, a Security setup, or both.
No. Kourai does not use personnel to monitor your pool or property, review live video, verify alerts, or contact emergency responders. Alerts go to you.
No. No system replaces an attentive adult. This is a second set of eyes that never looks away.
Keep them both. A gate can be left open, and many pool alarms go off for a gust of wind. Kourai knows who is where: a child alone at the edge sets off an alert; with an adult there, it holds it.
Many smart cameras can tell you someone is in the picture, but not where they are. Kourai places each person it sees on a live 3D model of your property: at the pool’s edge, or past your property line. And it decides on the hub in your house, where many cameras rely on the cloud.
Nothing further. There is no siren, no monitoring center, and no dispatch. Alerts go to your phones.
Core detection and rule evaluation run on the hub inside your house. No cloud computing is required for core processing.
The first systems are $2,100, with the Kourai Hub, cameras and white-glove setup included. The subscription is $40 a month and keeps the hub running.
Yes, but plan for a ladder and a drill: each camera mounts high outside, with its own Ethernet cable back to a PoE switch. With the first systems you don’t have to: white-glove setup is included, planned with you by email after you order.
The hub comes with an Ethernet cable. The PoE switch and outdoor cabling for the cameras aren’t in the box. The hub should sit away from living areas because of fan noise.

Kourai alerts your phones, not a monitoring center. In an emergency, call 911.
